Wow, September last was definitely a busy month for me, my busiest of the year in fact, with no less than nine weddings to shoot, but boy were there some fabulous ones in there, kicking off with the first part of a “double header” weekend at the start of the month with Megan and Jamie in Edinburgh.
My day started as usual with a wee bit of bridal prep and then off to the ceremony at the fabulous Canongate Kirk. Uniquely for churches, I had actually shot a wedding there before a few years back and remembered how stunning a setting it was, and importantly for photography, how bright it was inside … always a key point as I try and avoid using flash during the ceremony at all costs … nothing worse than saying your vows with sharp bursts of light firing off all over the place LOL.
And then off to The George, as it’s now called again these days after it’s stint as The Principal … or, in fact, to give it it’s proper name “InterContinental Edinburgh The George” … “The George” will do for me :-). Oh, and lest I forget our brief brush with Hollywood though … in the bridal cars and looking for a nice spot to do a few bride & groom shots, we found ourselves in the middle of the film set for the latest Fast and the Furious movie … strangely, security allowed us to drive through it all to get to our spot … trailors, cameras, lights, the whole shebang … didn’t spot Vin Diesel though!!!
Guys, I won’t waffle on any more and, as usual, will let the pictures tell the story of the day … here goes …
Megan & Jamie, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)
Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).
Mike :-).
