Yay guys, back in the office this week after the Xmas and New Year break so let me first wish you all a Happy New Year, albeit slightly belated I know!
It’s a few weeks yet till I shoot my first wedding of 2025 (January being the quiet month that it usually is) so, great chance to catch up where I left off with blogging my 2024 dates. I shot three fabulous weddings back in October, and this was the second of them (and also part 2 of a wedding “double header” weekend) when I ventured down to the Norton House Hotel for the first time in a wee while to shoot Caroline & Kevin’s big day!
I’d shot Caroline’s sister, Angela’s wedding to Steven back in 2015 at the (sadly now closed) Parsonage, so it was great to see a few familiar faces on the day. The forecast for the day didn’t look too promising when I arrived but, somehow, we did manage to make the most of a small break in the rain to get outside for a brief couple shoot and some family group shots before dinner. And, of course, after dark, the rain became a benefit as the backdrop for another ultra short couple shoot – I never like to keep you away from the party for too long guys!

If you’re getting married (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
For the past two years, I’ve been recognised by the WPJA as Scotland’s top ranked wedding photojournalist, so you know you’re in safe hands :-).
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2025 & 2026 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times. So do get in touch asap guys to check my availability.
