Two blog posts in one week – what’s the world coming to eh guys! Yep, it’s definitely that “end of wedding season” vibe where I can devote most of my time to playing “catch-up” on the blog and today, I’ve got something a bit special for you and part 1 of a rare wedding double-header from back in September! And, it was also my 500th wedding too!!!
I can’t recall why I ended up shooting two weddings in two days, as without good reason, it’s not something I do anymore these days but, let’s just say that on this occasion, I’m glad I did! Lauren & Jordan’s day was one of those where there was just so much to shoot right from the get-go, kicking off with bridal prep at the Virgin Hotels in Glasgow before the short hop to the historic (and impressive) Glasgow Cathedral for the ceremony, before finally heading south to one of my regular haunts, Lochside House, for the reception.
I think sometimes there can be a misconception that my style of hands-off, candid photography only suits more reserved couples who aren’t that keen on having their picture taken. Not so! Yes, certainly, it does suit those, but it’s also perfect for couples that just want to party, have a total blast and not stop too long for “posed” pictures and that’s exactly how this one panned out – I reckon 15/20 mins for all the group shots and a quick couple shoot and that was it – done!
Honestly, this is one wedding where the pictures really do tell the story of the day better than me, although I will just mention the post-dinner sax set by the fabulous Trav – probably “the” most lively post-dinner shots I’ve ever taken in my whole career – usually a period of the day for a bit of a chill … not this time!!!
Lauren & Jordan, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing wedding day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Please do leave a comment though … it’s very much appreciated 🙂 – there’s a comment box right at the end of the pics!
On with the pictures …

Need A Ninja?
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
Not sure if this is for you? Why not check this out for more details!
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2025 & 2026 but do still have some limited availability for 2024 too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.
