“Lockdown” week 7, and onwards and upwards folks with more fabulous weddings from the tail end of last year and today, I’m delighted to be featuring the first of my Boclair House wedding “double header”. Every now and then, I get to shoot weddings at the same venue on consecutive weeks but, to shoot on consecutive days is highly unusual … but that’s exactly what happened for my last two weddings in October, kicking off with the amazing day I spent with Kirsty & Stuart!
The guys were very kind enough to send me some nice words about the day, that probably sums things up better than I can …
“We spent a lot of time looking for a photographer and as soon as we came across Mike we knew he was the one. On our day we wanted it to be all about family and spend as much time as possible celebrating with our guests without losing too much time posing for photos. We wanted our pictures to be as natural as possible, capturing the smiles, the laughs and the tears. With Mike that is exactly what we got. He has the ability to spend most of the day going unnoticed and blending in with our guests to capture the best moments. We can’t thank you enough for how beautiful our pictures have turned out.”
Kirsty & Stuart, 4th May 2020
Thanks guys! You probably know by now that my shooting style on the day is very documentary, very observational, capturing real stuff not “fake” – in fact, I’m at my happiest when everyone actually forgets I’m there!!! But that’s a good thing :-). Anyway, no more waffle … as usual, I’ll let the pictures tell the story.
Kirsty & Stuart, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like. Oh, and stay safe people :-).
Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?
Despite the current lockdown guys, I am very much still working so, if you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). To know more about my wedding day approach to how I shoot weddings, just click here.
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2021, 2022 & even 2023!…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2020 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)
Full day coverage collections start at £1500…but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).
Mike :-).
[…] great also to catch up with some familiar faces, namely Kirsty & Stuart and Stacey & Adam, who’s weddings I’d also shot in recent times […]
