“Boclair House” Wedding : Lynda & John

No more “lockdown” talk from me today guys, I promise, so let’s get straight on with yet another fabulous wedding that I shot last year, and today I’m delighted to be featuring Part 2 of my Boclair House “double header” – yep, two weddings on two consecutive days at the same venue … what are the chances!

“Boclair House” Wedding : Kirsty & Stuart

Week 5 (I think) in “lockdown” so, what else but onwards with another fabulous wedding from last year, October to be more precise, when I made the relatively short trip to a venue that I know quite well these days, The Vu, for Aimee & Alan’s big day.

    Angela & Mark’s Wedding Album

I have another new album design to share with you guys today – this time around featuring Angela & Mark’s fabulous day at Boclair House back in July last year.

For me, the album is very much the culmination of everything that I do, and absolutely remains the best way to truly tell the story

For their album, the guys went for the fabulous “Original Wedding Book” from my lab, Graphistudio. The album itself featured the popular “crystal glance” picture cover with a grey and white woven binding. The box was finished in dark blue maple and highlighted with titles on my own “scroll design” raised and varnished white.

Wedding Photography at Boclair House Angela & Mark

For my 28th wedding of the year, I was out and about at a new venue for me, Boclair House just outside Glasgow. I love shooting at new places…I know there is a theory sometimes that couples will choose a photographer who is familiar with a venue and sure, there is some merit in that but there’s also, I think, a downside as well in that being so familiar with a venue means that just do the same thing every time, just with different couples.

Shooting at a new venue brings with it a new perspective on things, perhaps doing things that haven’t been done before and therefore often you’re getting shots that are unique. Of course, any good photographer will have done a recce at a new venue, just to familiarise themselves with the new surroundings, and I’m no different in that respect…it’s just good preparations.
